LAUGHINGBIRD BEADS

Hello, and Welcome To Laughingbird Beads!

jazzie.jpg

Beads are my life, all thanks to a wonderful parrot named Jazzie! So, while I pour my heart and soul into my beadwork, I owe the fact that I am alive and beading to a little green bird!
On June 26th,1999, I woke to the screams of my fifteen-year-old yellow-nape Amazon parrot. My house was filled with smoke. You always wonder what you would grab if there was ever a fire...I grabbed my bird (not my glasses or shoes). Poor Jazzie, who roosted atop his cage was overcome by the smoke and did not live through the ordeal. I can only believe that he stayed alive just long enough to save my housemate and me!
Parrots are very intelligent creatures and I will always count myself as privileged to have shared my life with Jazzie.
