THESE PIECES ARE ALL THINGS THAT I DID AFTER THE FIRE.So, it is a pretty good catalog of what I would term "New Millenium Beadwork".

There are so many patterns on the net that are available for us to use, that nobody should ever run out of things to do!

SOLD. I call this piece "Flamenco Rose" and I started it right after I finished the Bracelet in the same Technique. I have plans to do a purse in this stitch, I have even bought a purse-frame. Ah...someday.

People re always asking if I "glued those beads on there"

While net-surfing one day, I came accross an archived article in the About Beadwork website that was written by  Emily Hackbarth, the old beadguide. It was called "How to wrap a rock" and used flat round peyote stitch. I am fortunate  to live near enough to the ocean that finding flat round rocks is an easy thing. This rock is fairly large, measures about 4inches accross. It took me three days to finish. But some folks ask "what is it good for?" I really do use this, it's my bookweight for holding open the pages of a book.

If you would like to try beading a rock of your own, here is  link to the article, "How to wrap a rock".

Design rom "WILD THINGS" by Valerie Hixson

This piece isn't complete yet. I finished the main beadwork and then I backed it with some forest green pigsuede. I am working on a spiral chain that I plan to attach around the beading like a frame and also use as a neckchain. Then I am going to stitch on a bunch of leaves. I will add a pic of the finished project if it ever is....
